We continue to pursue the option of buying the Oasis Centre as our new bridge club premises and thank all members who have agreed to donate some money to facilitate this happening. Behind the scenes we are involving building surveyors, solicitors and property developers to ensure all is fit and proper and within our total budget.

Some of this effort involves getting prices for work/refurbishment we will need and/or would like to do if we ultimately own the premises. Therefore, a lot of things are up in the air with regard to finances, but these will be resolved by the very sensible committee members you have placed in charge of running the club. We will then be in a position to know exactly what is required financially.

However, we would appreciate knowing if any member has a connection or a link with any locally based commercial or office flooring companies who could provide us with a competitive quote for new floor coverings for the whole building. Please let me or Carrie know if you have any information in this area.
