CURRENT DUPLICATE SESSIONS

All sessions last around 3 hours unless otherwise stated.

Mondays: 1.00. Duplicate bridge - partner required

Mondays: 7.15. Online Bridge (Oliver Cowan host)

Tuesdays: 7.00. Duplicate Bridge - partner required

Wednesdays: 7.00 Duplicate Bridge - no partner required

Thursdays: 10.00 Duplicate Bridge - no partner required

This relaxed session is No Fear Bridge. Approximately 18 boards in a relaxed style, finishing by 12.30 at the latest. The norms of bridge will apply, but the emphasis is on fun, enjoyment and learning, rather than on winning or obtaining masterpoints.

All players are expected to arrive no later than 10 minutes before the start of play to assist with the organisation, and to enable the session to start on time.

BAD BISCUIT NEWS

I am very sorry to inform everyone that despite the very best efforts of Margaret Gill, the Biscuit Czar of Huddersfield Bridge Club, we have been unable to source any cheap biscuits and have to enforce a price rise with immediate effect. I know this kind of news causes civil unrest in some societies so I don’t pass on this news lightly.

Margaret who is very Nice and not a Jammy Dodger at all with the rumours about her and Bourborn remaining unproven, gave me the bad news this week and I am still struggling to Digest the implications and nobody wants to upset the Ginger Nuts or cause Viennese Whirls but here we go….

Unwrapped biscuits now cost 10p and wrapped biscuits 30p.

I hope that is not too difficult for members to swallow but remember a drink is too wet without one!
