I am absolutely delighted to inform you on behalf of the committee and trustees that we have concluded the sale of our existing premises on Cambridge Road and the purchase of new premises on Merton Street (The Oasis Centre).

As part of the deal struck on your behalf we will remain at our current location as tenants of the new owner while we refurbish our new premises and turn it into a fantastic centrally located, easily accessible bridge club.

We have three months to complete that refurbishment so there is still a lot of work for us to do and we will be requesting not only your continued patience, but also for some willing volunteers from time to time to assist us with the move.

The road to get to this point, whilst still maintaining a fully functioning playing and teaching schedule has required a huge amount of effort from lots of different people, who are all volunteers of course and I personally on your behalf wish to thank them all. However, I will save all those heartfelt thanks until we are celebrating being at our new home in the Spring.

I however would like to thank all members for your patience and support as we slowly encountered and overcame each hurdle on this lengthy process. All the details of the process including financial numbers will be made available to members in due course now that the sensitive financial negotiations are concluded.

As for now please continue to attend Cambridge Road and enjoy your bridge and if you can answer a call for help your assistance will be appreciated.
